Oregon was the No. 1 destination for U.S. movers in 2014, according to an annual study by United Van lines.
About
38 percent of the people moving to The Beaver State did so because they
got new jobs. Retirement led to 29 percent of the inbound moves.
Rounding
out the Top 5 states that saw more inbound than outbound moves were
South Carolina, North Carolina, Vermont and Florida.
The study
showed that residents are increasingly leaving the Northeast. The Top
two states for outbound moves were New Jersey and New York, followed by
Illinois.
